Prof. Dr. Luigi Maria Cavallo is a highly recognized skull base surgeon, working at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. Parts of his training he received under the guidance and in closest cooperation with Prof. Paolo Cappabianca – one of the pioneers in endoscopic assisted transnasal skull base surgery. Prof. Cavallo is currently leading the skull base Section of th renumerated department. With an experience with more than 1500 endoscopic transsphenoidal pituitary surgeries and more than 500 endoscopic endonasal skull base surgeries, he states a one of a kind expert. His numerous scientific publications cover various typical pathologies of the skull base as e.g. adenomas, meningeomas as well as craniopharyngiomas.
