UNIVERSITY CLINIC FOR NEUROSURGERY

Hydrocephalus

Hydrocephalus (water on the brain) is the result of a drainage or resorption disorder of the cerebrospinal fluid. A variety of diseases can lead to hydrocephalus for a wide range of reasons. Cerebral pressure symptoms are the result with sometimes severe, acute and threatening disease states and must be treated in the long term.

The treatment modality and technique depends primarily on the cause. All technological procedures including minimally invasive neuroendoscopic procedures are available for this purpose at our clinic.

We will be happy to advise you about this condition and the treatment options.
